He began schooling at the age of 5 years at Phuleng Primary School. He enjoyed the everyday walk to school accept during the rain reasons. He enjoyed school a lot because it gave him hope that he would better the conditions at home.

During his second grade his mother took him with her to Johannesburg where they stayed in Soweto. They had to move various times and it took a toll on the doctors social esteem and insecurities and it pushed him to focus on his academics to escape. He excelled in his school work at Mekgatong Primary School.

He went back to Kroonstad in 1997, where he attended Moepeng Intermediate School. He went to a private seconday school, Kroonstad Akademie School, from grade 9 until matric. He had a rocky time at the school but ended up persevering and ended up being admitted into Medical school.
